Pet photographer and HeARTs Speak member Amanda Strozeski recently photographed some awesome pomeranians at the Pawsitively Pom Rescue, here is what she had to say:

“I was lucky enough to be able to photograph dogs for Pawsitively Pom Rescue, located near Harrisburg, PA. This rescue recently took in 27 Pomeranians after they were rescued from a hoarding situation. The dogs ranged in age from puppies to seniors – and every one was a sweetheart! This was a project very near to my heart, since my own little heart dog is a Pomeranian who was rescued from a similar situation. Like most shoots, there was not a lot of space for a large setup and a few rolls of durable background paper were really all I needed. I used a few different colors for this shoot: Marmalade, Coral, Blue Mist, and Black. The Marmalade is one of my favorites to use – it’s a very strong color, but when used with the right dog it’s a stunning visual effect. By using these backdrops, you can’t tell that I was shooting in a dining room, surrounded by the chaos of playing, barking dogs. The clean background makes you pay attention to the details of the dogs’ faces and catch glimpses of their personalities. And isn’t that what it’s all about?”
